  • 203132 says:

    uberlebenswahrsheinlichkeit….
oh it must suck to german…

  • ChrisBennett18 says:

wait but the seat looked really close to the part of the steering wheel they need to move the seat as far back as possible and you might have a 10% chance of survival but i dont believe this becasue i seen worse then this and its possible to live through this

  • wilsontt88 says:

Now I had more respect for the F1 drivers who survived all those extreme crashes.

  • tanikz says:

WTF!… the dummie smashed his head on the window!.. :O

  • sebring98 says:

WOW Thats a tough little car! I have always respected Volkswagen. They are just not my style, otherwise I would own one. Incredible how it stayed together after a violent impact!! The gentleman in the video made a good point about the G-forces and how this can kill also.(especially 60g!!)

    Germany makes excellent products!

  • andyt62 says:

Finally a competent video. No matter how the car body can resist to the impact, the human organs and the brain just can’t stand such decelerations. Our car can be made of steel, concrete, or lead, but at such high speeds there is very little hope to survive, unlike many people think. So we all just have to lift the foot from the gas pedal, thank you.

  • JordsterMovies says:

F1 drivers don’t hit solid objects at hard speed. Most of their accidents involve rollovers, which shake them around like mad, but nowhere near 60G (or they’d be dead, which happens sometimes, sadly).

  • JordsterMovies says:

Keep in mind that you’d have to hit another object at 100 KM/h that doesn’t give at all. If you rear end a car at 100 KM/h and it is standing still, it will move forward, absorbing a good deal of the G forces and you *might* survive. This simulated accident is more like hitting a wall or a large truck. Of course, if you hit a car that is oncoming and you’re both moving 100KM/h you haven’t got a chance :( drive carefully and PLEASE dont’ drink and drive! My kids and I enjoy living.

  • ganymedeIV4 says:

    really?

then explain how race car drivers can walk away from 200mph crashes with forces in excess of 70G

what did you think would happen anyways driving a tiny car. its statistically proven a larger car takes crashes better.

you’ve just got more up front, so you get a longer deceleration time.

I’d of killed that person if they hit my 21foot 4,440lb town car.

  • nilsjonasgeorg says:

A race car drvier that crashes into wall in 200mph wont walk away!

  • adildo9 says:

whel a race car and a gulf is tho thinls

  • jmanliveshere says:

This really shows the importance of newer cars with autobraking that reduce the speed. They just might reduce it enough to save your life and in a collision with 2 cars if both had it, the forces could be reduced significantly!

  • andyt62 says:

Ok, good luck to you then

  • andyt62 says:

    Ok ganymedelV4, good luck then

  • Nivicoman says:

Not to mention that heavy deceleration will cause the aorta and pulmonary arteries to sever from the heart causing instant fatal bleeding out internally. Dead without obvious wounds. Same way as falls.

  • SuperMrBentley says:

@tanikz they should make a new airbag that is deployed in the wheel and will cover your head from impacting the side door, an airbag with a shape of an L

  • TapTapTido says:

How did it the car used its brakes without touching the brake pedal?

  • nath0987 says:

    safe car (Y)

must have one of them when i drive :P

  • nath0987 says:

but it only works when theres no driver response

  • stemider23 says:

great video. Some people thinks that they’re immortal.

  • jmanliveshere says:

Let’s hope that’s not the case. Hopefully if an accident is “imminent” maximum brake force is applied.

  • jvjobi says:

thats pretty safe car at that speed then again its a German car no wonder lol

  • jvjobi says:

rephrase that lol, the car did pretty well but you still die but maybe not the passengers
