Are the vw more reliable then in N.America.. I have had Golf , Bora(jetta vr6c) and had issues with both..however..the vr6 was much more reliable..2001..vs. the 1996

  • derbigpr500 says:

VW are very very reliable in europe. I think the problem with N. America is fuel. Because people often have problems with other cars too, like BMW, Audis and all other brands that are perfectly reliable in europe.

i have an ‘08 Pontiac Wave and it is not very aerodynamic if i go above 120 kmp i can hear it start to whistle. i am defiantly going to buy this because i love VW style. before i had a good job i bought a ‘91 ‘90 and a ‘92 and loved them all :p i just wish the rear lights looked more like the ‘08

VW are not reliable cars at all and always come close to the bottom of survey indexing. They suffer lots of electrical faults and are a pain in the back to repair. I hate it when people bang on about how reliable they are. Just victims of the 1990s “If only everything was as reliable as a Volkswagen’ adverts. The most reliable cars are sadly Japanese but Ford Opel and Fiat produce a far more dependable product than VW. derbigpr500 do some research please!

the 2010 vw golf was named world car of the year.

I have a MkV GTI here in the USA – absolutely no issues in 60k miles. Haven’t had any other issues with my previous VWs either, though I will say that when VW got very popular here from about 1998 to 2001, their quality suffered. The newer Jettas and Rabbits are much better built though, and Consumer Reports would say so, as well.

  • laco667 says:

Questionable reliability ? Well, it often sitting between seat and steering wheel. Its also applicable for most of brands.

  • sammyseefatpoon says:

“I have a reliable Golf ‘ so all of them are reliable? They are not bad cars, just not as well made as they should be, their expensive!

  • fahaz78 says:

looking for a new diesel car not any time soon but looking at fiesta or golf, looks like the fiesta is more fun but the golf is more refined?

  • klramon says:

sammyseefatpoon Do you know why you hate it? Becouse they aren´t reliable at all and you know it. German cars are the most reliable cars in the world and VW is a german car manufaturer. So here you have it! Keep on breaking down with your junk!

  • sammyseefatpoon says:

kiramon you fool, I have two cars both German one being a w123 240d. I love german cars but think that Volkswagen are massively overrated. I don’t understand why they are such shit when Skoda and Seat seem so good.

  • ApoSalonikios says:

VW and Audi is the most reliable manufacturers all over the world. Powerful engines, fuel economy, space and the cars is well-build. My family is changing VW and Audi since the VW K70 L. I don’t know about the N. America and Brazil, but in Europe is the best cars.

  • moustafaraslan1 says:

my question is this or the mazda 3 hatchback what you guys think

  • Libanass says:

believe me, the golf is more fun, more powerfull, more economic, more beautifull, more room, better quality
but more expensive, so its your call

  • fahaz78 says:

ye kinda think same except eco as the fiesta is a grade and id get the 2litre golf but i can imagine it would be a better ride actually like the look of the new golf for once even though it dont look that different

  • Libanass says:

I kinda abused for the economy :P
The golf is a bigger body, it must be less economic
but the 2.0 tdi gets crazy mileage
4.6l per 100 km I think. up to 140 HP

  • fahaz78 says:

ye its still good gotta be better than my 1.6 petrol

  • Weazell says:

    Wow… awesome car

  • UnSaintLike says:

    Golf.

  • BMan100 says:

I can’t wait to try it, and I mean the TDI version here I HOPE THEY BRING IT OVER !!!

  • mercatorish says:

The only car I’d consider to buy is the Audi A3. Unfortunately the current one is a bit dated.

  • maudtube says:
